Francine Ndong is an economist at the International Labour Organization, the UN agency dedicated to promoting decent work and social justice. Her expertise lies in supporting member states and employer organizations in their efforts to develop policies aimed at creating decent jobs in key sectors, particularly those related to global value/supply chains.

Before joining the UN, Francine worked as a consultant at Dalberg Advisors, an international strategy consulting firm focused on social development. She contributed to projects aimed at developing inclusive growth strategies for various international organizations and governments. For over 3 years, as a Manager, she structured and established WIC Senegal and WIC Capital, and then served as Vice President of the WIC Governance Committee for 4 years.

Francine is also a co-founder of GO4STEM, a program developed in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Senegal. GO4STEM aims to train and inspire young girls in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Francine's commitment to the development of Africa and her entrepreneurial spirit have earned her a spot among the 500 most influential people on the continent, according to Tropics Magazine.

A graduate of the University of Glasgow, Francine holds an M.Sc. in Finance and Development Economics, as well as a Diploma in Business, Administration, and Finance from the École Supérieure Polytechnique de Dakar. She also has certificates in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and in Public Management from Howard University. Francine is a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship from the UK and the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship, established by President Obama.
