About the program

SheMadeIT

SheMadeIT is a program that promotes success stories of Businesswomen in STEM and inspires female students to embark on an entrepreneurial journey through sessions of training.

The overall goal of the program is to develop the non-technical skills of STEM students and female pupils to provide them with essential skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities with female entrepreneurs and leaders.

In collaboration with Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar (UCAD), the last SheMadeIT took place for the first time in Senegal in 2023. The program's launch was held in Dakar on October 2023, as part of the Women in Business project in Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal. This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through Sequa and implemented by the Global Project Partners (GPP), the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs (VdU), and the Women Investment Club (WIC).

The second SheMadeIT in Dakar will start in April 2024, and as part of the same project in Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal, another SheMadeIT will begin in October 2024 in Abidjan in collaboration with Dynamiques et excellentes d'Afrique (DynExcAfrica).
