About the program

SheMadeIT

SheMadeIT is an event concept developed by Women in Business Network (WiB) targeting STEM female students who are in the final year at university. The event promotes success stories of businesswomen and inspire the female students to embark into an entrepreneurial journey. The concept was very successful in all our partner associations particularly in Algeria where 6 editions were organized in different cities and in collaboration with various universities.

The concept took a step further with SheMadeIT AFRICA in 2021, a series of workshops organized by Women in Business Network (WiB) in collaboration and Digital Skills Accelerator Africa (DSAA).

The target group is female STEM Students at the Universities in Tunisia, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Ghana and Rwanda, Female DSAA Trainees, Young STEM graduates and local institutions supporting young women in finding decent jobs and enhancing their digital skills.

The overall objective of the event is to offer guidance, inspiration and networking opportunities for STEM female students and who are about to finish their studies as well as female DSAA trainees to establish their own business or enhance their chances of employability.

The program includes inspirational stories, a workshop on Why Networks and Mentoring Programs Matter, a workshop on How to establish your own company or startup, and a last workshop to meet your potential employer. All sessions are run in French and English.
