Karitia DE MEDEIROS was the first local executive employed by the French Development Agency in Côte d'Ivoire, serving as Assistant Project Manager from 1999 to 2000.
She subsequently managed the administrative and financial aspects of the Buyo hydroelectric power plant rehabilitation project in southwestern Côte d’Ivoire for ALSTOM from 2001 to 2003.
A passionate economist, she was later recruited by the Coffee and Cocoa Purchasing and Marketing Agency, affiliated with the Coffee-Cocoa Producers Development and Promotion Fund (FDPCC), as Head of Internal Audit and Management Control. In this role, she established the rules and procedures for the implementation of activities in this newly established company during her one-year tenure.
Her drive to tackle daily challenges and contribute to societal well-being fuels her motivation. From 2004 to 2008, she served as the Director of Economic Studies at the Inter-African Coffee Organization (OIAC). During this time, her negotiation skills were instrumental as she represented and defended the interests of 25 African coffee-producing countries within the Executive Committee of the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and at global coffee conferences.
From 2010 to 2011, she returned to the French Development Agency as the Enterprise Sector Manager at the Regional Africa Office.
After spending a decade in the private sector, she joined the Ivorian public administration in 2011. Her recognized expertise in managing development projects and programs earned her a position in the Ministry of Economic Infrastructure as Technical Advisor for Economic Affairs from 2011 to 2018. In this role, she liaised with technical and financial partners and coordinated C2D projects and MCC projects for the rehabilitation and construction of road and water infrastructure, co-financed by the Ivorian government and the French Development Agency.
From July 2018 to September 2019, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Ministry of Youth Promotion and Youth Employment. Since September 2019, she has held the position of Chief of Staff.
