Fatimatou Zahra Diop had a very rich experience at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) where she began her professional in 1980 as a senior economist in the Credit Department. She has successively held the following positions within this institution

Head of the Banking Regulation Department from 1991 to 1996, Assistant to the Director of Financial Operations from 1996 to 1998; Director, Project Manager for the Reform of Payment Systems from 1998 to 2004; Director of Payment Systems from 2004 to 2008; National Director of BCEAO for Senegal from 2009 to 2011 and Secretary General of BCEAO Headquarters from 2012 to 2014.

She has proven skills in macroeconomics, international economics, international relations and economic management and policy.

She is Director of International Finance Facility for Immunisation Company since 2015.

Since 2014, Fatimatou has been Vice President of the AFRIVAC Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of Women Investment Club (WIC) Capital since 2019. She is tje deputy communication officer since 2022.
